After graduating from the Jakarta Arts Institute in 2020 with a major in writing scenario, Ummu Amalia Misbah currently works as a screenwriter at one of the writers rooms in Jakarta. Some of her works can be seen in various media such as cinema or OTT. Like; Air Mata Di Ujung Sajadah (feature) and Santri Pilihan Bunda (series). Not only that, Ummu also wrote a novel entitled Bukan Salah Hujan, published by Grasindo and has been a best seller since 2018. Until now, Ummu lives in Jakarta and occasionally returns to Gowa, her hometown.
